Financial Assistance

A Financial Assistance Program is available on a limited basis to Pinewood parents who clearly demonstrate need as determined by an application review by the school’s Financial Assistance Committee.  The objective of this Financial Assistance Policy and Procedure is to establish the principles and procedures for Financial Assistance awards to the parents or legal guardians of Pinewood American International School students.

The goals of the Financial Assistance Policy are:

  • To provide financial assistance to new or current Pinewood families who demonstrate that their family resources are insufficient to meet part of the total tuition costs.
  • To assist the school in enrollment enhancement, especially in classes and/or grades that are presently undersubscribed, and
  • To maintain a balanced, diverse school community.

Process

  • A fair, standardized, equitable, and confidential “needs analysis” will be utilized to determine a family’s ability to contribute to school expenses.
  • The director will establish a Financial Assistance Committee to review all applications in a timely manner that allows families to make timely, careful, and fully-informed enrollment decisions.
  • The director will establish administrative and accounting procedures to effectively communicate all Financial Assistance decisions as necessary.
  • The school will safeguard the confidentiality of financial aide applications, records, and decisions.
