National Honor Society
Pinewood sponsors a local chapter of the U.S.-based National Honor Society. Membership is open to students in Grades 10-12 who, in addition to having a high academic average, show special qualities of leadership, character, and service to the school community. Election to membership is by majority vote of the secondary faculty following nomination and discussion of each candidate. National Honor Society Students are expected from time to time to perform various services for the benefit both of the school and the entire Thessaloniki community. To preserve its high standards and ideals, members may be removed from the National Honor Society if they fall below expectations and are suspended from school or are failing courses.
