International Baccalaureate Students’ Research

Our IB students are working diligently to prepare for IB exams in May. As part of the requirement for receiving the IB Diploma, each candidate must write a 4000-word essay on a topic of his/her choice. This year’s topics include studies in economics, art, physics and biology:


  • Jordan Markov (Physics)
    “How does the capacitance of a speaker cable affect sound quality?”
  • Theodora Pilitsis (Visual Arts)
    "Bio-artists challenge and socially investigate the relationship of humans with other living organisms"
  • Marta Rodriguez (Biology)
    "The effectiveness and structure of anticancer metabolism agents targeting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia"
  • Christiana Vagianou (Economics)
    "How the price increase in cigarettes has affected smoker's behaviour in the last three years in Greece"
