Pinewood’s Mission

Pinewood is an independent non-profit organization, which operates under Greek law and holds the Greek people and culture in high esteem. Our mission is to increase understanding, respect and cooperation between cultures and nations by educating young people to become active, responsible, and compassionate members of the world community. To fulfill our mission, we will:

1	Reach the highest quality standards, optimizing all aspects of excellence in education, including but not limited to strong curriculum and faculty, nurturing environment and community, and an environment that is conductive to the highest potential of learning.
2	Create an environment which inspires learning.
3	Provide students with skills that enable them to achieve the highest potential and fulfill their dreams.
4	Prepare students with an education that enables them to become highly functioning adults in a very competitive world.
5	Prepare students with internationally recognized qualifications, enabling them access to international higher education.
6	Emphasize and celebrate the multi-cultural character of the school community as a process toward developing International citizenship.
7	Instill in all students an understanding of Greek language and culture so that they may contribute actively to the local community, especially in the promotion of international understanding.
8	Integrate young people of different national, ethnic and religious backgrounds into a harmonious and democratically run student body.
