Pinewood’s Vision
To be a center of excellence in primary, middle and secondary education in the English language, as well as a center of multi-culturalism in Greece and the surrounding geographic area.
Pinewood’s Values
- We understand that nationality; gender and religion all determine people’s roots, but not their worth.
- We are mindful of the needs and rights of others, regardless of their roots and beliefs.
- We are honest and open in our dealings.
- We are peaceful in our intentions.
- We are considerate in our actions.
The benefits of Pinewood programs:
- We provide a full Pre-K to 12 Grade US accredited curriculum.
- We use English as the main language of instruction, aiming for all students to achieve fluency in English and to graduate with a working knowledge of another language as well.
- We prepare students with internationally recognized qualifications, which enable access to international higher education.
- We instill in all students an understanding of Greek language and culture.
- We provide an education for the full development of the individual – intellectually, morally, socially and physically.
- We encourage students to engage in open inquiry, creativity, decision-making and independence of thought and to take pride in their own achievements.
Pinewood's initial accreditation was achieved in April 1986. The school’s current accreditation with Middle States, its third, extends through April 2011.
