At the elementary level, a weekly Friday Folder is sent home to parents with essential classroom and school information every Friday.  Each Pinewood family is also provided with a Calendar of Events that lists all major activities, events, field trips, testing, and grade reporting information for the entire school year.  These calendars are distributed in early September at no additional cost and additional copies, if desired, may be purchased from the school receptionist.

Parents are asked to carefully go through all material in the Friday Folder with their child, thus giving them the opportunity to discuss what is happening at school with them. On Monday morning, the Friday Folder should be signed and sent back to school with their child. The classroom teacher will collect the folders from students and keep them until the next Friday. In the event that there is no school on Friday, the folder will be sent home on the day before, so parents should expect the Friday Folder to come home every week (except during long holidays). Parents are asked to contact the classroom teacher if their child is neglecting to bring home the Friday Folder.
