| Parents' Night |
|
One of the most important evenings of the year, our annual Parents’ Night, will be held on the evening of Wednesday, September 21 at 5.00 p.m. for the Early Years Division and at 7.00 p.m. for the rest of the school.
What to Expect at Pinewood Parents’ Night
Who: Parents will have the opportunity to meet their child’s teachers and aides, the Director and other staff members, and of course the other parents, too. This is an adults-only night, so please book a babysitter!
Where: The Early Years Program will host parents at 17:00 in classrooms of the EYP facility and the Elementary, Middle and High School programs will begin at 19:00 in the main building.
What: Our Parents’ Night gives you a glimpse into your child’s daily life at Pinewood by meeting the teachers and learning about each grade level or course’s expectations and curriculum directly from the teachers. You will also have the chance to join the Pinewood L.O.V.E. Club and learn about volunteer prospects for the year.
Why: Research shows that parent involvement in schools helps children achieve more. In addition, the more parental support, the more our school will thrive. And joining the Pinewood L.O.V.E. Club is a great way to help make this a successful school year for your children.
In preparation for this evening, we ask that you please visit the Academics section of our website to download Course Outlines for EYP, Elementary and Secondary classes and bring them with you to Parents’ Night.
We highly encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to see the world your child inhabits every day at Pinewood and meet the people who are with him/her every day. It is one of the best ways to begin building that all-important home-school connection.
