The Pinewood PTFA has developed into a very active and vital organization whose major goal is to provide parents, teachers and friends the opportunity to sponsor group collaborative school service  activities within the Pinewood community and to organize fund-raising activities to support and benefit  the school.  Major activities include the Welcome Back Barbecue, the Book Bazaar/Christmas Craft Event,  the Teacher and Staff Appreciation Luncheon and the annual Fun Day activity.

The PTFA meets regularly once a month when school is in session (see the Pinewood Calendar of Events) to plan activities and organize events

Requests for PTFA financial support  are to be directed to the PTFA President and final decisions in such matters will rest with the officers of the PTFA.
