Senior Spotlight Interviews - Agapi Chatzigianni

Agapi Chatzigianni, Pinewood Class of 2025, joined the school in 2022 and quickly embraced the challenges and opportunities of a new environment. A dedicated IB student with a passion for psychology and dance, Agapi’s journey at Pinewood has been one of transformation -personally, academically, and creatively. She was awarded the Alexander Ammerman Memorial Scholarship for her original poem “The Call of Change,” a reflection of her evolving identity and growing awareness. She credits Pinewood’s supportive community with helping her gain confidence and resilience, both in and out of the classroom. This fall, she will begin her studies in Liberal Arts and Sciences at Utrecht University, ready to explore new ideas, experiences, and communities.

Pinewood taught me that school isn’t just about grades. The community, extracurriculars, and support have helped me build confidence and feel valued as a whole person. I really appreciate how much Pinewood cares about mental health and growth and supports students beyond just academics.
