Senior Spotlight Interviews - Lahiri Paolella

Lahiri Paolella, Pinewood Class of 2025, was born in Calabria, Italy. His name, meaning "movement of water," reflects his ability to adapt and grow through life’s experiences. Excelling in the IB program, Lahiri has focused on History, Economics, and English, and has been actively involved in Model United Nations (MUN) since ninth grade. This fall, Lahiri will pursue political science and international relations at the University of Rochester. He is deeply grateful for Pinewood’s supportive community, which has shaped his diverse cultural experiences and influenced his aspirations. Outside of academics, Lahiri has a strong passion for music, particularly the bass, and looks forward to continuing his musical journey.

Pinewood made me more confident and social. The tight-knit community helped me adjust quickly and feel welcome. It encouraged me to be more extroverted and made it easy to make friends, which I had feared before coming here.
