Finally Home: The New Middle & High School

With the start of the new academic year in September 2024, we are thrilled to announce the successful relocation of Pinewood’s Middle & High School to a stunning new building on the Anatolia College campus in Pylaia! This transition marks a momentous milestone in Pinewood’s history, reflecting our commitment to creating an enriched and cohesive educational environment.

Our new facility is a testament to Pinewood’s dedication to excellence and community. Designed with the future of education in mind, the new Pinewood Middle & High School boasts a modern and inviting design, featuring a warm color palette of natural oak and signature green. These elements create an inspiring and conducive learning environment. The classrooms are equipped with movable walls that can be reconfigured to foster collaborative learning experiences, and feature an open atmosphere with ample natural light. To ensure a comfortable environment, the building includes state-of-the-art air filtration and central heating and cooling systems.

The new campus integrates seamlessly with our Early Years & Elementary School, reinforcing our core values of community, relationships, and excellence. Among the many highlights of our new building are two state-of-the-art science laboratories, a dedicated library, and an innovative design studio. These spaces are crafted to support cutting-edge, future-focused teaching and learning, encouraging our students to thrive in all aspects.

A centerpiece of the new Middle & High School is "The Forest," the central atrium and gathering space. Named for its unique design, "The Forest" features three custom-designed metal structures that simulate trees, paying homage to our school’s name. The atrium's distinctive curved roof and skylight windows ensure that this central space is illuminated with natural light, creating a bright and welcoming area for students to gather and collaborate.

Dear Pinewood Families,

I am thrilled to welcome you to a very special school year as we reunite as one school community on our campus in Pylaia. This year marks a significant milestone as we celebrate the move of our Middle & High School division to a beautiful new purpose-built complex, designed to enhance the educational journey of our students, and located next door to our Early Years and Elementary School.

Over the summer, we have also made substantial improvements to facilitate a smoother and safer campus experience. The main entrance has been thoughtfully expanded and redesigned, specifically to optimize the drop-off and pick-up process for parents. Additionally, the road leading to our Pinewood Elementary has been widened to comfortably accommodate two-way traffic, ensuring a more regulated and efficient flow of vehicles. More information about traffic flow and parking is forthcoming.

We are incredibly excited to greet each of our students on September 9 and look forward to a year filled with community spirit. Wishing our students a year of wisdom and wonder.
