Visitor from Washington DC

Visitor from Washington DC

On September 17, we had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Mike Emborsky, our Regional Education Officer (REO) at the State Department in Washington DC. In general, the role of the State Department REOs is to support American-sponsored overseas schools like Pinewood. Specifically, Pinewood is among the 192 American schools worldwide that fall within the State Department’s support network.

As our REO, Mr. Emborsky works to ensure that Pinewood has access to the most up-to-date educational practices, services, and resources from the U.S. His visit was wholly positive and reconfirmed the quality education that Pinewood is offering to its students. After our visit, Dr. Giampapa accompanied Mr. Emborsky to Athens for a special gathering at the home of the U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission in honor of the visit and the focus on inclusion in American overseas schools.
