Senior Spotlight Interviews - Nefeli Foutsitzi

Nefeli Foutsitzi, Pinewood Class of 2025, joined the school in 8th grade and quickly grew into a confident, high achieved student and dedicated dancer. In the IB Diploma, she combined her passions for History, English, and Dance, even writing her Extended Essay exploring how ballet was used as a form of propaganda during the Cold War. This fall, she will begin her studies in Liberal Arts & Sciences at Leiden University College The Hague, where she looks forward to building independence, exploring new interests, and continuing her love of dance. Nefeli is deeply grateful to Pinewood for shaping her mindset and helping her believe in her own efforts. She learned the importance of self-worth and staying grounded in her goals, no matter how visible they may be to others. She leaves Pinewood with quiet confidence, a strong sense of identity, and a passion for lifelong learning.
