AP Exam Only Sections
Students enrolled in AP Exam Only sections will participate in weekly 1.5-hour classes from 15:00 to 16:30, starting in mid-September and continuing until the week before AP exams in May. These sessions are designed to provide focused review, covering essential concepts, practice exams, and test-taking strategies to ensure students are well-prepared for their exams.
Both Pinewood and Anatolia students are eligible to register, provided they meet with the AP Coordinator and receive approval. Regular attendance and active participation are expected, with more than three unexcused absences potentially resulting in removal from the class. Students are provided with study materials and are responsible for bringing these to each session. Respectful behavior, in line with Pinewood’s core values, is required at all times.
To support student progress, periodic assessments will be conducted, with feedback to highlight areas for improvement. Additionally, students must adhere to exam registration deadlines, with the school offering guidance to ensure a smooth registration process.
The AP Exam fee established by the College Board is not included in the course tuition; it must be paid by November 1 and is non-refundable. Students will receive timely notifications regarding payment details.
Who Can Take an AP Exam Only Section
Pinewood also administers AP Exams to students who are not enrolled in a course but fall into the following categories: independent/self-study students, students who attend another school, homeschooled students, and virtual school students.
Based on student interest, the AP Exam Only sections include but are not limited to courses regularly offered at Pinewood, as well as those of AP French Language and Culture and AP Spanish Language and Culture. AP Exam Only sections carry additional fees.
