The American High School Diploma is awarded to students who successfully complete their high school education at Pinewood. To earn the diploma, students must complete a minimum of 22 credits across Grades 9–12. Most Pinewood students graduate having earned more than the minimum, reflecting both academic ambition and opportunity.
Credits are distributed across core subject areas to ensure a balanced, well-rounded education that supports university preparation worldwide.
Graduation credit requirements include:
- English: 4 credits
- Social Sciences: 4 credits
- Mathematics: 3 credits (4 recommended)
- Science: 3 credits (4 recommended)
- World Languages: 2 credits (4 recommended)
- Physical Education: 1 credit
- Electives: 5 credits (6 recommended)
Graduation requirements align with international university expectations and the Carnegie Unit system. Transfer students receive individual transcript reviews to ensure appropriate credit placement and a smooth transition into Pinewood’s High School program.
