Student Services

Welcome to  Student Service Department at Pinewood, where we are dedicated to supporting, understanding and empowering each student to reach their full potential!

Student Services is an integral part of school life, working collaboratively to ensure that students thrive academically, emotionally, socially, and physically throughout their educational journey.

Our department is a multidisciplinary team of professionals, consisting of Learning Specialists, School Psychologists, and School Nurses. Together, we provide comprehensive, student-centered support across the Elementary, Middle, and High School divisions.

Through close collaboration with students, families, teachers, administrators, and external professionals, we aim to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can access the curriculum, develop confidence and independence, and feel a strong sense of belonging within the school community.

Our work is grounded in:

  • Early identification and intervention
  • Inclusive and evidence-based practices
  • Strong home-school partnerships
  • Emotional wellbeing and safeguarding
  • Personalized learning support
  • Respect for each student’s unique strengths and needs

Student Services provides a wide range of support, including learning support interventions, psychological counseling, psychoeducational assessments, executive functioning and study skills support, English language support, exam accommodations, health and nursing services, and social-emotional learning initiatives.

Above all, we view support as a collaborative process. Student Services is not separate from the classroom experience—it is woven into the daily life of the school and into every student’s journey of growth, learning, wellbeing, and belonging.

We are proud to work alongside our students and families in building a school community where every child feels safe, valued, supported, and able to succeed.
