11th Grade Trip to Mount Olympus

All IB1 students and American Diploma students of grade 11, attended a three days field trip to Mount Olympus. For this trip, all students needed to be well prepared and ready for a long and demanding trekking.

The students together with their chaperones trekked for 4 hours on one of the Olympus trails to reach the Petrostrougka lodge at altitude of 2000m, where they did the first overnight.

The second day, a group of students trekked to Skourta peak at the alpine zone at 2500m altitude, while another group followed for 4 hours a demanding trail leading to the highest lodge of Balkans, Apostolidis Lodge on Mouses plateau at altitude of 2700m and they ascended to other peaks close to the lodge.
