Cotton Harvest in the Kindergarten

Post

Autumn Harvest doesn’t only provide people with fruit and veggies!  The cotton harvest provides us with clothes, as well!  Kindergarteners read the story, “Charlie Needs a Cloak”, and learned the steps necessary for Charlie to get a new red wool cloak.  Then we sequenced the steps for Cotton clothing, from seed to the dying process (using natural dyes made from berries, onion skins, spinach and pomegranites).  Later we made adorable little cotton outfits for our stick puppets!  Fun!!
