COVID-19 PROTOCOL FOR POSITIVE OR CLOSE CONTACT STUDENTS

Post

Positive Case in SCHOOL

In class, a club or the bus

  • In case a student has a positive self-test, the parent should inform the principal and perform a PCR or Rapid test as soon as possible.
  • The student does not come to school until the result of the PCR or Rapid test is available.
  • In case of a positive PCR or Rapid test, the student needs to isolate for five (5) days.
  • If there are no symptoms after five (5) days, the student can return to school on the 6th day with a negative self-test or a negative rapid or PCR test. If the test is positive, the quarantine period continues until there is a negative test.
  • If there are symptoms, especially fever, the quarantine period continues until no symptoms are present.
  • Mandatory use of a high respiratory protection mask (N95 or KN95 or FFP2) or double mask for at least another five (5) days upon return by secondary students (age 12 or older).

CLOSE CONTACT  IN SCHOOL

Close contact to a positive case in class, a club or the bus

Parents will be notified via email about a confirmed positive case in school and the respective testing requirements.

All students who were with the positive student in a class, club or bus need to do the following extra testing:

  • All unvaccinated students will take a test, every day, for 5 days. Specifically, they will do two rapids and a self-test in five days, in addition to the two fixed self-tests per week, so 5 tests in 5 days. (Day1: rapid test, Day2: self-test, Day3: self-test, Day4: self-test, Day5: rapid test)
  • All vaccinated students do 3 self-tests over 5 days (Day 1-3-5)

Only if 50%+1 of the students in a particular class are positive, all students of that class will have to stay home and online schooling will be provided.

If an unvaccinated student is close contact to a confirmed positive case:
