Halkidiki Mountain Day Trip for Grades 6-12

On Friday, September 21, our Middle and High School students traveled with their teachers to the beautiful Mount Holomontas in Halkidiki. This annual trip characterizes the benefits of providing a well-rounded education to students and the necessity of providing opportunities for learning outside the classroom. Indeed, exposure to fields in science, mathematics, languages, the environment, humanities, arts and sports—inside and outside the school—are part of what makes Pinewood unique. Our day trip to Mount Holomontas was filled with hikes on the nature trails, the playing of various team sports and bonding with classmates and teachers.
