High School Student Council Halloween Dance!

Post

On November 7 the High School Student Council organized and hosted its annual Halloween Dance in the Pinewood Gym. The Dance began at 8:00 and the celebration carried on until 11:00 pm. All Middle School and High School students were invited to our event and they were encouraged to bring students from other schools. The Halloween Dance offered delicious food and drinks, Halloween themed decoration and music, as well as many fun activities for our guests.

During the dance there were four events with well-deserved prizes: Costume Competition, Limbo, Bobbing for Apples and Food Challenge. Winners were awarded with candy and especially those who won the Costume Competition were given monetary prizes.

Organizing the Halloween dance was a challenge indeed. Under the guidance of our High School Student Council Advisors, Mrs. Tavlaridou and Mr. Papakostas, the work was divided into 5 Committees: Food and Drinks, Music, Activities, Tickets and Advertisement.

Each committee worked independently and had to report its progress during the Student Council meetings. Furthermore, all officers were diligent in setting-up the gym on the day of the event and at the end of the dance everyone worked tirelessly to clean up. All committees did an outstanding job thus contributing to the success of the event.

We would like to thank all students and friends who joined us in great numbers at our Halloween Dance last Friday. The HSSC would also like to thank everyone who contributed voluntarily to the organization and carrying on of the Dance either by promoting the event, bringing food, helping with the set-up  and / or clean-up of the gym, participating in the activities during the event, or even inviting friends to share in our joy. We also kindly thank especially Mrs. Manney and Mrs. Squires, who assisted Mrs. Tavlaridou and Mr. Papakostas in chaperoning our Dance and we hope they enjoyed it as much as we did.
