Young visual artists from Grades 11 and 12, from Pinewood, The American International School of Thessaloniki are exhibiting artworks they created during their International Baccalaureate (IB) Visual Arts course. The young artists have explored a variety of subjects and challenges in order to create multi-layered artworks while experimenting with painting, sculpture, digital art, photography and printmaking.
The subjects explored in this exhibition do vary a lot, however they all require the audience to critically think upon the issues that the IB students explored in their artworks. The audience is called to contemplate on trending topics of gender issues and identity, body image and acceptance, mental illness and abuse, as well as recurrent topics of human habitats and their range of emotions.
