On Friday, February 21, 2020 Pinewood launched the “Ippokrateio Children’s Cancer Ward Fund”. Pinewood will collect donations that will be dedicated to purchasing medical equipment needed in the Pediatric Oncology Department of the Ippokrateio General Hospital dedicated to Mr. Costas Kois, honoring his spirit and his love for children and their education.
All fundraising events that will be organized by Pinewood between now and February 15, 2021 will be donated to the Fund.
The Ippokrateio Pediatric Oncology Unit (POU) at the Ippokrateio General Hospital of Thessaloniki, Northern Greece. The POU is part of the Pediatric Clinic, which treats critically ill children ages 30 days till 14 years old. The General State Hospital of Thessaloniki “Hippocrates” is part of the National Health System and provides primary, secondary and tertiary care. It is the largest hospital in Greece and Southeast Europe and includes 33 clinics and departments, 55 laboratories and 186 out-patient clinics.
Our hope is to help the clinic operate and enhance the efforts of its small “heroes” who fight for survival daily.
