Partners Across the Atlantic

Post

Students will start by introducing themselves to each other through mini timelines of their lives. Next, each group will exchange information about their school, their country (USA versus Greece), including type of coutry, people and geography. By the end of the year, the vision is to work together to reach common problem solving goals. For example: What kind of humanitarian crisis might our countries be facing: water shortage, emissions, class prejudice, religious conflicts, education…? We can then exchange ideas on how we (the students) can help solve this problem in our small part of the world. Through this exchange, our fifth graders will learn that students across the world have more in common than just a school name.
