Professional Development Day – Wednesday February 9

On Wednesday, February 9, school will be closed for all students. Early Years, Elementary and Secondary faculty will remain for our second Professional Development Day of the year.
Pinewood professional development days are important ways for our teachers to gain exposure to new trends in education, work on curriculum and collaborate with colleagues. This month’s work will focus on Learning Differences and a variety of other departmental reflections for all teachers. We, as a faculty, value these opportunities to dialogue with each other about students and courses. Indeed, school improvement efforts require that teachers be provided with the time needed to reflect on what they are doing in order to develop new ideas for meaningful, engaged student learning. This is Wednesday’s goal!
