Grade 3 Host Country Studies do a Sight-Seeing Tour of Thessaloniki, the White Tower and the Church of Saint Demetrios

Tuesday, April the 9th was an exciting day. Grade 3 students had a Sight-Seeing Tour of Thessaloniki. We visited the White Tower and the Church of Saint Demetrios. Here is what our students liked:
… I like the colour white, so I liked the White Tower… and the big University area …

I really liked getting in the bus … Mrs. Amalia talking to us through the bus microphone …the Ottoman Baths with their domes …

…the Ottoman Baths looked fantastic…

I liked lighting a candle in the Church of Saint Demetrios … and the mosaic with Demetrios and the two kids …

…I liked the idea of people going to public Baths, way back…

…Thessaloniki has many statues, I like it… and the Church of Saint Demetrios, built 4 times! …
