This summer our Visual Arts teacher Ms. Konstantina Kapanidou, was invited to teach two art workshops at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts, London. The students were taught life drawing and self-portraiture and produced a wide variety of artworks to enrich their portfolios and practice. They worked with a life model, experimented with a number of different materials as well as techniques and visited two art exhibitions at the Serpentine Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery as part of their course. All of the students were also guided through and succeeded in meeting the criteria in order to be awarded the prestigious Bronze Arts Award of Trinity College, London. With the completion of these two art workshops Central Saint Martins organized an exhibition to celebrate Ms. Kapanidou’s students’ achievements.
