Ms. Liana Zygoura

My name is Liana Zygoura and I am a Kindergarten Teacher. I was born and raised in Thessaloniki and I am a new member of the Pinewood Family, in the Early Years Programme. I graduated from Anatolia College in 2001 and I got my Early Childhood Education Degree from the School of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Western Macedonia in 2005. I have been active and teaching in kindergarten classes ever since. In my 17 years of teaching experience I have established creative and interactive activities to classes with students between 4-6 years old. I have implemented programs that allowed students to participate, learn and grow, while encouraging emotional, social, physical and academic development.
My years of teaching experience have taught me a lot. But what I consider the most valuable lesson of all, is that I can manage anything that may occur in a class of little children, as long as I sincerely communicate with them, make them feel safe and heard and show them my love and affection.
