Mr. Casey Doumitt
Secondary Principal

I have traveled the world and lived in such spectacular places as Russia, Nepal, Tunisia, Indonesia, and Lebanon. Where my journey in the classroom began and where it ended is almost unrecognizably at odds with one another – starting in a small isolated California coastal town where the high school of 175 students served two counties covering over 2000 square miles; and ending in Jakarta, a mega-city of 12 million people – and a high school of nearly 1200 serving over 70 nationalities. I have traveled from the classroom to the administration office, thriving in a profession that embraces challenges and discovery. Change is a part of learning, and this journey has been an education of a lifetime.

Mrs. Rosa Rocchia

I hold a BA in English Language and Literature, a Master in Pedagogical Studies and various courses on teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. Having taught English and Spanish in different countries and at different levels it is difficult to know who or what I’d rather teach as I enjoy teaching primary, secondary and adults, the adults being really funny language learners! For me, the key to a successful learning-teaching experience lies in having a good relationship between students and teachers, where the teacher loves to teach and the student wants to learn. As Horace Mann said in the 1800s: ‘A teacher who is attempting to teach without inspiring the pupil with a desire to learn is hammering on cold iron.’ In my spare time what I like the most is travelling, getting to know different cultures and spending quality time with my family. Greece is such a wonderful place to achieve all that!

Mr. Dimitris Charalampidis
Mathematics

I was born and raised here in Thessaloniki. I hold a BSc in Mathematics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I have always imagined myself as a teacher and that's because I was always fascinated by the impact a teacher can have on one's life. Why Mathematics? I guess it's because, despite the fact that they place you between rules and postulates, they offer you the freedom of creativity at they same time. I have been teaching Mathematics for the last 15 years. During these years, I mostly worked as a private tutor and occasionally at evening private schools. When I am not teaching, I spend some time creating educational videos for my two YouTube Channels. When I am not doing that either, I spend time with my wife and my 2 year old daughter. I look forward to meeting each one of you and developing a nice cooperation with you.

Ms. Amanda Cole
Grade 6

I was born and raised just outside of Seattle, Washington in the United States. I received my bachelors degree in Cultural Anthropology from Western Washington University and my Masters Degree in Teaching Mathematics from Western Governors University. When I was in school I only ever had math teachers that said, "I already taught you that, how do you not know it?" and it was because of those types of interactions that I became a math teacher. I wanted to be able to teach students multiple approaches to problems and reaffirm them that it is okay to not get things the first time. In my free time I love to spend time with my family, go on big and small adventures with my family and I love ALL sorts of arts and crafts, My specialty is crocheting.

Mr. Harvey Cole
Grade 6

I was born in Spokane, Washington in the United States. I was raised in a little country town named Medical Lake, which is also located in Washington State. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in secondary mathematics from Eastern Washington University. I received a Master's Degree in elementary mathematics from Western Governor's University. I chose a career in education because of coaching sports. I loved teaching kids how to play sports and it enticed me to pursue a teaching degree. I have taught middle school math in Colombia and in Washington. When I am not teaching or coaching sports, I love spending time outdoors and traveling with my family.
