IB Biology Takes Class Outdoors

Dr. Squires’ IB Biology class visited the Thermi Dam last week to take part in an experiential learning science lesson. The purpose of their trip was to carry out quadrat sampling to determine plant populations in different abiotic environments. Students successfully collected data to be used in their class work. This was an excellent hands-on opportunity for students to practice scientific techniques used in ecological research.
