Piracy in Somalia Seminar

Commander Dimitrios Spirou, Greek Navy, joined us in December to present the world-wide problem of piracy. Commander Spirou delivered an insightful presentation by discussing why piracy off the coast of Somalia is an issue, how it started, the pirate’s modus operandi, how the military is combatting piracy and the most current status of the issue.
His presentation opened all of our eyes to this and other issues around the world.
